Honaker Library Summer Reading Program Schedule:
- June 2nd – Russell County Master Gardeners at 2pm
- Join us in making stepping stones for the new Library Kids Garden.
- June 9th – Jane Carter – NASA at 2pm
- Join us as NASA Solar System Ambassador, Jane Carter, leads us through an interactive moon exploration activity and provides an overview of future moon exploration with the Artemis Program.
- June 16th – Smokey the Bear at 2pm

- June 23rd – Soil & Water Conservation at 2pm
- Soil babies! Clinch Valley SWCD staff will help participants learn about soil, while they create their very own real-grass-haired soil baby to bring home and care for. All materials will be provided.
- July 2nd – Steel Appeal at 10:30am
- Steel appeal is an interactive, educational music program that showcases the exciting world of steel drums.
- July 7th – Didgeridoo Down Under at 2pm
- Join our epic adventure down under! The digeridoo down under is an energetic fusion of Australian music, culture, storytelling and loads of audience participation. This program features a blue tongue skink and Snuggles, a black king snake.
- July 14th – Soil & Water Conservation at 2pm
- Creek study! Join Clinch Valley SWCD staff as they explore the aquatic world of Lewis creek. Children will not be getting in the creek.

- A one woman interactive musical concert with lots of fun puppets, songs, and stories.
