Download eBooks and eAudiobooks on OverDrive, available on iOS, Android, the Windows Store, Kindle, and desktop, or use the free Libby app. Be sure to log in to see the full catalog.
Patrons now have access to 3000+ (!) digital magazines through the Library of Virginia. Magazines don’t count toward your borrowing limit and are automatically returned after 21 days. This collection also contains ebooks and audiobooks. Just select Russell County Public Library from the drop-down login menu and enter your library card number. You can add this collection to the Libby app as well.
Freegal® Music is a free music service from your library. Freegal offers 3 downloads per week and 3 hours of free streaming per day. The catalog includes over 16 million songs, millions of albums, hundreds of curated playlists, the ability to create your own playlists, thousands of audiobooks, and thousands of music videos. In total, the collection is comprised of music from over 40,000+ labels with music that originates in over 100 countries. Free apps are available at the App Store and Google Play.
Junior Library Guild Digital is a collection of ebooks and eAudio for students K-12. The content is refreshed every 30 days so there is always something new to read! There’s also a mobile app, so you can read on the go. If you see a login screen, the username and password are both VirginiaReader.
Just for Kids offers a kid–safe, advertisement–free, media platform where children can learn, explore and enjoy. Just for Kids has the educational videos that children want to watch—from Sesame Street, The Electric Company, Franklin, Arthur, to The Berenstain Bears, and more! Games, songs, and interactives will keep these early learners interested and engaged as they discover a learning environment that is fun, safe, and entertaining.
